Decision No. 33

The oral argument and the voting conference in this proceeding have been scheduled for March 18, 1999, and March 25, 1999, respectively, at 10:00 a.m., in the Surface Transportation Board Hearing Room (Suite 760) at 1925 K Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.

As with past oral arguments and voting conferences, the Board requests that all persons attending the oral argument use the building's entrance located on 20^th Street between K and L Streets. For security reasons, upon entering the 20^th Street entrance, all persons should be prepared to produce photo identification (such as a driver's license), pass through a metal detector, and submit to an inspection of all briefcases, handbags and any other bags.

To effectively conduct these proceedings, the Board must limit access to the hearing room. If necessary, the Board may provide an overflow room (the Brick Room) on the first floor of the building with a closed-circuit telecast of the entire proceeding.

For the oral argument, each participant will be allotted two admission badges, which may be picked up from the Office of the Secretary, Room 700, and also will be available at the 20^th Street entrance on the day of the hearing. The balance of the seating in the hearing room will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis.

Public admission badges for the oral argument will be available at the Board's 20^th Street entrance beginning at 9:00 a.m. on March 18, 1999. The admission badges will be disbursed one per person. Upon clearing security at the 20^th Street entrance, the holders of admission badges for the hearing room will be escorted to the seventh floor hearing room. Only holders of hearing room or media badges will be admitted to the seventh floor hearing room.

For the voting conference, all seating will be on a first-come first-served basis. Upon clearing security at the 20^th Street entrance, the public will be escorted to the seventh floor hearing room.

For both days, the doors to the hearing room will open at 9:00 a.m. The Board's Hearing Room does comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act, and persons needing such accommodations should contact the Office of the Secretary at (202) 565-1650 by noon,

March 15, 1999.

The oral argument and voting conference will be video-taped, and the Board will make arrangements to have the tapes duplicated, at cost, if there is a public demand for copies of the tapes.
