SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD
Docket No. AB 1109X
CITY OF BELFAST, ME.—ABANDONMENT EXEMPTION—IN BELFAST, ME.
Decided: August 13, 2013
On June 25, 2013, the City of Belfast, Me. (the City), filed a verified notice of exemption under 49 C.F.R. pt. 1152 subpart F–Exempt Abandonments for the City to abandon approximately 2.0 miles of rail line between milepost 0.33 near downtown Belfast at the U.S. Route 1 overpass, and milepost 2.33 near Oak Hill Road in the City. The line traverses United States Postal Service Zip Code 04915.
On July 26, 2013, the City supplemented its filing with additional information regarding the history of the line it seeks to abandon. In order for the Board to consider the information contained in this supplemental filing, the Board will hold this proceeding in abeyance pending further Board order.
This action will not significantly affect either the quality of the human environment or the conservation of energy resources.
It is ordered:
1. This proceeding is held in abeyance pending further Board order.
2. This decision is effective on the date of service.
By the Board, Rachel D. Campbell, Director, Office of Proceedings.
